Unprofessional

‘Professional’ insect extermination company or more like unprofessional clown.

Eventually, the fleas did come back, which means the son of the land-lord lied to me and the ‘expert from the company’ they sent round (who’s actually a friend of theirs) is in reality a clown and a professional liar.

He had said that after one fumigation that the fleas would not return, but if they did then he would spray the place again free-of-charge.  However, when it happened that the fleas came back (not the cat the very next day) he said I would have to pay him for an additional fumigation.  For that, I just sent him home.

Mr Abo El Atta came across as a religious guy (with a long beard) and informed me that he had recently returned from umrah (a visit to Mecca) and wanted to give me some perfume he had bought from there.

Perhaps he thought I was one of those gullible types from Europe.  In the end, he just annoyed me.

He also had his retarded moments, like when he suggested it was possible I had picked up the fleas from outside, which was nonsense as I did not have this problem before I arrived at the apartment.  Also, when he claimed it was no big deal if a flea were to climb up my leg (perhaps he should take some home with him and try it out).

This experience was both sad and annoying.  Annoying because I had to deal with this moron and miss more classes.  Sad because people like this think that by wearing the gown of religion they can just do whatever they please.  Or perhaps they believe that God permits them to cheat the people from Europe.

Had he read the Quran (and perhaps he had not, since 30% of Egyptians are illiterate) then he would know that Islam is not a part-time job or some zero-hour contract.

What they appear not to understand is that his visit to Mecca is probably going to count against them and not for them in the next life.

I did not know Arabic, but I did already know some things about Islam.  For example, lying is a sign of hypocrisy and about the hypocrites God says the following:

“Verily, the hypocrites will be in the lowest depth (grade) of the Fire; no helper will you find for them”[al-Nisaa’ 4:145]
